Remembering Our Cornerstone Military Men
Praise God that we live in the USA, where we are free to worship our mighty God morning, noon and night! To show aprpeciation and offer encouragement to the military people that help make this possible, Cornerstone Church will be sending Love/Care Boxes to church family and extended church family currently serving in the military. We have such family serving in Afghanistan and Thailand, as well as state-side. Please contact us with the name and address of your loved one serving, so that we can reach out to them!
We will be collecting items through March 14 in the narthex.
Mailing boxes are 12"x12"x5.5" Please donate items that will fit in these boxes.
Wish list:
Any kind of junk food that will ship well, cookies, beef jerky, salted peanuts, trail mix, sunflower seeds, granola bars, breakfast bars, fruit snacks, crackers, new or used DVD movies and music CD's, video taped sporting events, travel sized games, books, current magazines, dried fruit, our daily bread devotionals, disposable toothbrushes w/ the tooth paste built in, gum, chap stick, anything soldiers can do in their down time to help them relax, anything to give them a smile and laugh (they need a little comic relief!). MOPS Easter Egg Hunt
The MOPS Easter Egg Hunt outreach is on Saturday, March 27! We have several ways you can help make this a terrific event. We have hundreds of Easter eggs that need to be filled with candy or small trinkets, such as erasers, balls, toys, or anything that can fit inside a small or large plastic egg. There is a list of suggested items attached to a donation box out in the foyer. All items need to be collected by March 7th. Also, we are looking for donations of finger food breakfast items to serve that morning. Please contact Julie Harner or Katie Strahorn if you are to drop off an item closer to the event. Postcards for you to distribute to neighbors and friends will be on the information table next week. Finally, please pray that this is an opportunity for us to share our love for the Lord to those in the community who may not know Him. Pray that we will be able to convey the importance and significance of Easter to everyone. Any questions, please talk to Julie Harner or Katie Strahorn.
