The Sirinides are part of Helping Hands, whose tag-line is "A full-service station, demonstrating the care of God for the Refugees on the Athens exit ramp of the Refugee Highway." Greece is home to about 1 million refugees, many of whom are from Muslim backgrounds. They have many practical and spiritual needs, and Helping Hands seeks to show the love of Christ through word and deed. Donna's ministry focuses on two fronts - home: practicing hospitality by inviting refugee friends into the home; and the Refugee Center: working with the children and families. Tim does personal outreach, discipleship, and spends a lot of time at The Nest, a shelter ministry. He also works at the Refugee Center and is on the Leadership Team. They have 4 grown children scattered across the globe.

Prayer Requests

Pray for the Greek churches, as a number of them are eager to start ministering to refugees.

Pray for Tim as he speaks to church leaders.

Pray for health as we come in contact with hundreds of refugees every week.

Pray for the Refugees who need work, food, clothing and a home.

Pray for the family to stay strong as they grow in their different ministries and locations.

Pray that they would continue to be blessed and encouraged by God while doing His work. The ministry quotes Malcolm Muggeridge: "The only ultimate disaster that can befall us, I have come to realize, is to feel ourselves at home here on earth."
